DESCRIPTION What inspired me to paint this stretch of a river in the Lleida Pyrenees were the shapes of the rocks eroded by the turquoise water of this piece of mountain landscape. I chose watercolor because it is a watery technique that helps convey water and moisture and India ink to give strength to the shadows and contours of vegetation and rocks. Done on heavyweight paper.
