DESCRIPTION This is a still-life of featuring seasonal fruit. In this work, I simplified my palette, employed more vibrant colors. Here I explored the use of complementary colors—turquoise and vermilion, yellow and violet, and red and green—in the service of chromatic intensity. The effect of these color contrasts is heightened by the pulsating pattern that defines the tablecloth and creates a force field around the fruit.
